With his early professional journey starting in 1982 in Oman at Petroleum Development Oman, Dr. Khan gained critical expertise in logistics operations. His excellence earned recognition from the Sultanate of Oman. But it was his return to India in 1987, joining Ripley & Co. at Paradip Port, that marked the beginning of a game-changing chapter for Odisha.
Building Odisha’s Logistics Backbone
Where others saw underdevelopment, Dr. Khan saw potential. He envisioned Paradip as India’s logistics hub, and through strategic planning and relentless effort, helped transform Paradeep Port into one of India’s top ports.
His company pioneered end-to-end logistics solutions, covering cargo handling, warehousing, transportation, and export-import support—all while generating local employment and training Odisha’s youth.
Green, Smart, and Scalable
A strong advocate for green logistics, Dr. Khan’s organization is actively integrating electric vehicles into operations. He’s also introduced German telematics technology for real-time tracking and optimization of logistics fleets. Soon, this advanced hardware will be manufactured locally in Odisha, boosting jobs and tech growth.
Humanitarian at Heart
During COVID-19, through the Khan Foundation, he provided food, medical aid, and educational support to hundreds of families. His mission goes beyond business—it’s rooted in compassion, inclusion, and social development.
